Tip: Pull up the Yelp app on your phone and type in “vegan” under “current location.”

Grocery store:

Beside the obvious produce aisle, most grocery stores now carry plenty of plant-based milks, creamers, buttery spreads, burgers, meats, cheese, and ice cream. Try common, delicious brands Field Roast, Tofurkey, Gardein, Beyond Meat, Sunshine Burgers, Daiya, Earth Balance, So Delicious, Silk, and Just Mayo.

Join/socialize/support:

Check Meetup.com for your local vegan Meetup group

San Diego Vegans Meetup and Facebook group (1,000+ members!)

Peruse:

The internet is chock full of incredible vegan food blogs and resources. And there is a thriving, engaging vegan community on Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, Tumblr, and Reddit.

Tip: Google whatever you want to make, plus the word "vegan." Voila! Include "best" or "easy" to narrow it down (e.g., “best vegan pancake recipe” or “easy vegan pizza recipe” etc.). And Google “best vegan blogs” and "best vegan cookblooks," and check out the hashtags #vegan and #WhatVegansEat on Instagram, and the rabbit hole is yours to go down!

We thank you for taking the time to read this with an open mind. With new awareness, we hope you’ll begin to take the steps in your life to be part of the solution. We end with these words:
