Is it Hypocritical for an Omnivore to "Drought Shame" Others Without Re-Examining His or Her Own Eat

A vegan diet saves 6 times more water than the average person uses each day at home.

Knowing this, in your opinion, is it hypocritical for an omnivore to "drought-shame" others without a willingness to seriously re-examine his or her own eating habits?

Source for graphic info: The average person uses 80-100 gallons/day of water at home for things like showering (USGS.gov), and a plant-based diet requires 600 gallons/day less than is needed to produce a typical animal-based American diet (National Geographic).
